Sidr honey is considered one of the best and highest quality honeys in the world and has a high price. It is extracted from the flowers of the siddr tree, which are characterized by their small size and greenish-yellow color.
The Arabian Peninsula and the Levant are the original home of the siddr plant. It is grown in both tropical and non-tropical regions.
Sidr honey is typically named after the region it comes from, such as "Yemeni siddr" which is known to be one of the most expensive and sought after types.
Our beehives for the production of Turkish sidr honey are located at the foot of Mount Uludağ, in the city of Bursa, as well as in the forests near the city of Jinqaq Kala on the southern coast of Dardanelles.
